Dyer’s Holiday Cottage Halifax is a charming 17th century one bedroom Yorkshire stone cottage, beautifully presented with spacious interiors. It provides luxurious self catering accommodation to retreat to and relax in a cosy, comfortable and romantic building equipped to the highest of standards.
Hidden behind a high garden wall enclosing an old well, is a beautiful one bedroom character holiday cottage in Calderdale (‘Happy Valley’), which has been inhabited by the owners’ family for nearly 250 years. The building in which it is situated was originally a 17th century farmhouse, surrounded by sheep grazing and it is probable that the upstairs was used by handloom weavers to produce pieces of cloth. The original front entrance is on the East facing elevation but at some time during the late 18th or early 19th century it was subdivided into 5 cottages which were inhabited by Master dyers at the nearby dye works, hence its name.
The traditional Yorkshire stone exterior of Dyer’s Holiday Cottage Halifax hides a beautifully stylish interior with spacious rooms and high ceilings which provides every creature comfort. Contemporary styling and thoughtful furnishings blend with traditional character features to create a sophisticated and welcoming retreat for up to 3 adults and a baby. The generous front windows allow the living room and bedroom to be bathed in natural sunlight. Relax in a comfortable bedroom with a gorgeous view and superking bed, a large living/dining area, a separate kitchen, a hotel style bathroom, a stone courtyard to the rear and a lovely secluded garden to the front. This is the perfect suntrap to return to after a day out exploring the delights of historic Halifax or the exceptional walking opportunities of the South Pennines and the Calder Valley.
